Stone's Steakhouse will be closing its doors October 27th
It is with heartfelt gratitude to the community that has supported my efforts that
I now announce the closing of Stone’s Steakhouse.
My goal in opening the restaurant was to share the bounty of our Green Acres
Black Angus Beef farm along with products from other upstate farms at Stone’s.
Wholesome local foods prepared by talented chefs, served by exceptional wait
staff in an upscale atmosphere was my intention.
Those who know me, know this was a time-limited endeavor. While my brother
Mike lovingly worked the farm, I would operate the restaurant. It was his perfect
retirement plan to be out in nature and working with the animals and I just love
superior quality food! We have had the farm for 10 years and now Mike’s health
prevents him from working the farm any longer. This is the main reason for the
timing of the closing. I could easily state all of the other blatant difficulties that
other businesses are now facing including rising costs, staffing issues and supply
shortages, etc., but the fact is while we had an amazing time building the farm and
restaurant and meeting so many new friends along the way, the time has come to
close them down.
So thank you my supportive customers. I will be forever grateful for your loyalty
and kindnesses. I will see you in the community!
